Hey all, as we get started I thought I should give you a little overview of myself and my mission for this blog. First myself, I am 25 years old and I live in a small farming town in southwestern Arizona, USA. I work on my family's farm which is owned by my dad and his three brothers. Though I love farming, I've always enjoyed working on computers. I've spent a good bit of my teen and adult life building and fixing computers as well as dabbling in programming and web design.
My beautiful wife Kim is the author of the cooking blog The Farmer's Wife (imagine that!). We have a son who will be three in June, our little genius. He is Kim's sous chef, as well as my farming and technology apprentice. He could identify many pieces of farm equipment and their brand AND could work a DVD player before he was 2 years old!
If you're like me, you're among the booming number of people who have traded in our "dumbphone" for a "smartphone". My wife and I finally made the leap to the Motorola DROID X Android Phone (Verizon Wireless)
around Christmas 2010 and we can't imagine ever going back!
With that in mind I'm going to start by reviewing some Android apps that I use and enjoy. Some will be useful, some fun, and of course, some to keep your kid entertained on those long car rides! My wife Kim will be doing most of the kid friendly posts. My Friend Jon from over at Eternal Truth Ministry has agreed to review some iOS apps (iPad/iPhone), stay tuned for those about once a month. Lastly my friend Tony said he'd be willing to throw an Android Tablet app review my way from time to time. With all that in store stay tuned!
